Graduation season is right around the corner and that means you have just enough time to plan a fun party! We took our Kraft Ribbon Booklet for Her graduation invitations and used the fun and vibrant colors to jump-start our party theme.
When guests walked in, the first thing they saw was our welcome table filled with goodies. We displayed the graduation invitation on the table along with a small tin washtub to collect cards and gifts. As a way to get the guests involved, we set out colorful markers and our Kraft & Foil Comment Cards and invited them to write down their favorite thing about the Grad. We then hung the comment cards with our DIY fun colored clothespins. Guests could also take a Push-Pop Confetti (found at Thimblepress) as they entered the party.
The menu was simple. We chose every teen’s favorite: Chipotle! They offer burritos by the box in their locations where catering is available. We stacked them up and cut open a few so you could tell what the options were. You can’t go wrong with Chipotle!
For the mobiles hanging above the serving table, we used embroidery hoops, fishing line and Kraft & Foil Table Decor Graduation Party Decorations. We also used a tutorial from A Pretty Cool Life for the adorable banner on the front of the dresser. It combines the foil look with the colors, just like our party invites! So adorable, we can hardly stand it.
Finally, guests helped themselves from our drinks and desserts bar, which included French vanilla cupcakes and punch, in colors to match the graduation announcement! For a backdrop, we printed out square photos of the grad and attached them to giant cardboard numbers cut out in the shape of the class year, and added some bright balloons. Your party will definitely stand out from the others with this great photo display idea!
We hope you have fun planning your party with our graduation party ideas! And, of course, look for all these coordinating Kraft & Foil graduation products at Pear Tree.

Next big graduation party decorating idea? Yard signs! Let everyone know where the party is with a sign in the front yard or at the end of your street. Some designs feature your grad’s photo, some don’t, so you can get as creative as you like. But your guests will appreciate the touch.
And last but not least, our personalized graduation napkins! Choose a design to match your graduation invitations, or personalize any of our designs to match your school colors.

Graduating high school or college is a huge achievement and it’s important to share your student’s accomplishment with eye-catching graduation announcements and invitations. While browsing the wide selection of fun and attractive styles, be sure to consider what information your graduate will want to include so you can choose the right layout.
Unlike invitations, graduation announcements are designed simply to let friends and family know that your student is graduating. This gives students more flexibility and allows them to be more creative with the information they include. Graduates can send out announcements that share their favorite quote or future plans. Some students even choose a favorite memory from their time in school. Talk with your graduate and look together for graduation announcements that provide room for any information you wish to include. Keep in mind that designs for graduation invitations can also be used as announcements, which means you can delete any unnecessary information like party details.
Graduation invitations can share fun information like future plans or memories, but they also need to provide essential information regarding the party, such as:
- Graduate’s first and last name
- School the student is graduation from
- Date, time and location of ceremony and/or party
- Dress code (optional)
Look for an invitation design that has room for both necessary and optional information. When your student’s invitation has all of the essential information, you can then start getting more creative by personalizing the invitation to match your student’s personality.
The right graduation announcements and invitations should be both stylish and informative. When browsing through the various options, keep these considerations in mind so you can find the perfect design for your graduate.
