Holiday Hostess Gift Ideas

Hostess gift ideas I don’t know about you, but I’m not one of those people who keeps a closet full of candles, chocolates and tip towels wrapped and waiting to be used as last-minute hostess gifts. No, during that last minute before a party I’m usually running to pick up a bottle of wine, a gift that displays as much thought as the dozen other bottles of wine lined up inside the hostess’s door. This holiday season, I vow to be a more thoughtful guest.

And guess what? The perfect holiday hostess gift ideas are right here, under my nose. Maybe I’m biased, but I think that stationery, such as our personalized note cards, note card sets, and mini note cards are gifts that most women would love, but don’t often think to give. How many times have you needed to write a note, whether to a teacher, a neighbor, or someone who just threw a great party (hint, hint) but you put it off because you didn’t have any pretty little note cards in the house. Stationery, I believe, is my no-fail answer to the bottle of wine (though, as you can see, our mini note cards make great gift cards for a bottle of wine).

Our Ho Ho Holiday Note Card Set features several holiday designs to last the entire season of giving, and our Notes from Mom Note Card Set has messages she can use all year long. Check out our Holiday Gift Guide for lots of other note card sets for moms, friends, lovers and more. From now on, there’s no excuse for forgetting a hostess gift.

As the copywriter for Pear Tree, Cathy sympathizes with those who are intimidated by the blank space inside a 3 x 5" thank you card. Married to an active husband, and Mom to three teenage boys, she finds herself out-numbered and out-voted on pretty much everything, never gets the remote, and is used to receiving blank stares when talking about girl stuff. This blog is both her outlet and her payback.
