Sequin-Inspired Graduation Party Ideas

Graduation party ideas
Your teen’s graduation party is such an exciting milestone, not only for the grad but also for the family and friends who helped the graduate along the way. Planning a graduation party can be a lot of fun if you have a theme you can run with. We used our Gold Sequin-Look Trifold Graduation Announcement as the theme for this graduation party, which inspired all of these graduation party ideas, from the invitations to the decorations to the menu. Most of the products you see came from Pear Tree GreetingsTarget or a local grocer.

We started with our graduation announcement for inspiration. We bought gold sequins, similar to the invite, and sprinkled them on the tables. (Sequins can be found at a craft store or online.) We also used the colors pink, gold and black to carry the theme throughout all the decorations.

We created a fun treat table where guests could enjoy cupcakes, pink lemonade, candies and sign the guest book print. Notice the pink, gold and black colors!

3 Tips on What to Wear for Senior Pictures

Figuring out what to wear for senior pictures and getting ready for your photo session can be exciting for some high school seniors, and nerve-wracking for others. Here are a few tips on what to wear for senior pictures to make the day go a little smoother.  We would also love to hear from you on any tips you have to share!

1. Wear clothes that reflect your style. You may be tempted to go out and buy lots of new clothes and get a makeover, but now is not the time to create a whole new identity. Your friends know and love you for who you are, and your senior pictures should reflect your style and the person you are right now. Your senior yearbook will be treasured by everyone in your class for years to come. Gone are the days when guys had to wear suits, but if that’s your style then go for it. The key is to be comfortable with your look, and your photos will look great as a result.

Graduation Party Ideas from a recent Featured Favorite

It all started when, Kristin, the mom of a grad sent a message that left us teary eyed, “I just received my order and I have sat at my desk crying for 10 minutes because my daughter’s graduation invitations are so beautiful and perfect.” With that comment we just had to know more about her daughter and what kind of party she was planning so we reached out to see if she would like to be one of our Featured Favorites. She gladly accepted and we featured her daughter’s graduation announcement along with her story. After talking further with Kristin, we asked if she would share photos from her daughter’s graduation party, and again she gladly accepted :). Kristin sent us the graduation party photos saying, “It was a HUGE success and the talk of the town!” We are excited to share her graduation party ideas with you!

Morgan had a joint graduation party with her two friends. They took photos of the three girls and chose to use our Trifold Dots Graduation Invitation. This Favorite Photo Graduation Announcement is one of our most popular graduation announcement designs, this two-sided card looks great with a fabulous photo and the right combination of colors. Moses’ card has both. We love his bright blue shirt and serious pose on the front, along with the aqua and black color combination that continues onto the back. The same photos were used to create coordinating party decorations.
